In the aftermath of several recent meningitis deaths, the FDA is warning patients whose eyes were injected with Avastin formulated by New England Compounding Center about the risk of fungal infection to their eye. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration are advising physicians to halt use of any product originating from the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Mass.
